Beth Chalker is a mixed-media artist based in Eora (Sydney, Australia). Though she officially started her practice in 2023, she's been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. Art and design have always been central in her life, with studies in Fashion and Interior Design, which both influence her paintings.

“I was always inspired by my Mother who was an artist. So growing up I was always encouraged to create. My 5th birthday Mum bought me a sticky tape dispenser. With this I made numerous creations, including cardboard shoes with embellishments, doll(and snail)houses, collages and much more. Mum always painted with gouache and it’s where my love for this medium began - the bold beautiful colours always spoke to me.

I started gifting my friends artwork that captured special moments we’d shared. They’re the ones who really encouraged me to start selling my work.”

Beth’s work focuses on capturing the little moments in life. She loves painting things like a table setting when hosting friends or family, or the chaos of a spontaneous decision, like bleaching her eyebrows on a whim.

Her work is bright and playful, designed to bring joy into a space, reminding us to enjoy the small moments in life.
